
Katie’s food adventure!
I made naan (Indian flat bread) and baked it off. I really wanted to try something I was craving, so I made homemade basil pesto and spread it on the naan. Then I took fresh mozzarella and spread them over the pesto, adding sliced (in half) kalamata olives (pitted side down) onto the mozzarella. I took a large white onion and sliced it thinly, caramelizing it in two tablespoons of butter for 30 minutes (slow and low!). I layered the caramelized onions onto the mozzarella and olives and then sprinkled feta cheese and cracked black pepper on top. In the oven for 9 minutes at 425 degrees F, and look at what I got!
IT’S DELICIOUS. I’m satisfied with my craving.
